I know how it feels to hand over irreplaceable footage, it's actually the reason I created The Video Converters, so I take the same care with your items as I would with my own family’s memories.
Why we started
Like a lot of people, our family had boxes of old VHS tapes, camcorder tapes and cine reels slowly gathering dust. Some machines no longer worked, colours were fading and we knew that if we didn’t act, those moments could be lost.
As a Computer Scientist I knew just how to use technology to facilitate the transfer of our precious memories. Weddings, holidays, birthdays - all digitised, in excellent quality and shared with family across the world. And importantly backed up to last forever!
When friends and relatives started asking for help with their tapes too, The Video Converters grew naturally from there. Today, we convert:
